My name is Fabienne Gettwart, I’m 22 years old and I come from a small town called Dreieich-Offenthal. When I was 5 years old, I took a tennis racquet in my hands for the first time – and I have barely let go of it since. Tennis has become my passion and an important part of my life, in which I direct my daily routine for the past 17 years and counting.
After I finished high-school in 2014, life took me over the big pond to Sam Houston State University, a Division 1 college in Texas, USA. At the college, I had the privilege to do my Bachelors degree in Marketing and Economics with a full tennis scholarship. Besides lifelong friendships and a successfully completed degree in May 2018, I made tremendous improvements athletically.
This experience built an important stepping stone for me to progress my development in tennis.
To reach my maximum athletic potential, I decided to become part of the Junaided-Academy in OTC in June 2018.
There, Rameez Junaid (my tennis coach) and Thomas Sax (my fitness coach) provide me with the best mental and physical training I need to make my dream of becoming an elite tennis player come true.
In choosing the Junaided-Academy, I wanted to make sure that I not only get equipped with the right skills to become a professional tennis player; I also wanted to join a team that is in this with me for the long-run and guides me through the challenges the tennis world has in store for me.
